Description:

HearQuest 2026 is a unique nationwide Public health quiz organized in India on the occasion of World Hearing Day, 2026. It is the first of its kind to be conducted throughout the world. It has been organized by Geetanjali Institute of Medical Sciences [GIMS], Jaipur in collaboration with World Health Organization. The organizing secretary is Dr. Kalika Gupta, Associate Professor, Community Medicine at GIMS, Jaipur.
From throughout the nation, 57 teams registered for HearQuest. Online preliminary round was conducted among the registered teams to select the top ten teams. Top ten teams from the online preliminary round were called to Jaipur, Rajasthan on 13th March, 2026 for the Finale at GIMS, Jaipur. Top team teams are listed below. Complementary Jaipur tour and stay arrangements were provided by the GIMS, Jaipur. The invited guests include dignitaries of national and international repute, Dr. A. K. Aggarwal, Dr. Suneela Garg, Dr. Md. Asheel, Mrs. Snigdha Sarkar and Dr. Mohnish Grover.

Impactful Story:

HearQuest 2026 involved medical students and medical faculties from throughout the country, India. It emphasised the importance of early detection of hearing morbidities. It helped in advocating for hearing assistive devices, increasing the knowledge among young adults on hearing aids and cochlear implants. It will help in reducing stigma.
This activity involved national and state level policy makers. It will boost the national Program for prevention and control of Deafness.
