Description:

This time, a series of public welfare activities will be carried out nationwide: service points will be set up in hospitals, communities, schools and rehabilitation institutions to provide offline services such as free hearing screening, ear-related free medical consultations, and noise hazard publicity; at the same time, popular science lectures, campus-themed classes, and interactive experience activities will also be conducted to guide the public to use headphones properly, take noise protection measures, and use medications safely.
Promote the dissemination of publicity materials such as posters, short videos, and artistic performances simultaneously online and offline to popularize knowledge on prevention and rehabilitation of hearing impairments. For people with hearing impairments, provide free hearing aid fitting, equipment adjustment, and home rehabilitation guidance services, and connect the entire chain of screening, diagnosis, and intervention services.
The activity collaborates with the health and wellness departments, the disabled persons’ federation, schools, medical institutions and other parties to enhance the public’s awareness of ear care and protection, create an environment without barriers for listening, and safeguard hearing health throughout the entire life cycle.

Impactful Story:

After suffering from hearing loss, Grandpa Zhang became overly cautious and spoke less. His children took him to have his hearing properly tested and fitted with a suitable hearing aid. With the aid of the device, he could once again hear the chirping of birds and the instructions from his family. He became talkative and cheerful again, often going for walks and chatting with his old friends. Early intervention and choosing the right assistive devices can help preserve the audible happiness of the elderly.
