World Hearing Day art competition

Description:

Learners from local primary and secondary schools will present their works of art in the categories of visual arts, poetry and music. The subject for all categories is ears, earcare, hearing or world hearing day. Officials from local health and education authorities will judge and award prizes. We will be doing educational talks oh hearing and earcare, as well as hearing screening.

Impactful Story:

Several people had been using cotton buds on a regular basis to “clean” their ears. Most resulting in infections, as they were reusing the buds. Also not maintaining proper hygiene. They were using traditional home remedies to treat these infections with, which made them worse. They were open to proper treatment after the health talk
