On March 4th the webinar “Potential and Risks of Childhood Audiological Screening Systems was held. The following topics were addressed: the importance of detecting hearing loss in preschool- and school-age children,the potential and risks of childhood audiological screening systems, hearing screening for children and adolescents – a current area in modern audiology, school and hearing – from prevention to inclusion.
More than 500 specialists (audiologists, otorhinolaryngologists, speech therapists, psychologists) and representatives of parents organization participated in the webinar. The webinar was followed by hearing screening sessions in 3 schools in Moscow. 90 children were screened with pure tone audiometry, tympanometry and OAE registration.
