Description:

The 27th National Ear Care Day Publicity and Education Activity in 2026 is themed “Scientific Ear Care for All, Jointly Safeguarding Hearing Health”. Hosted by the Hearing Professional Committee of Xuzhou Medical Association, it is undertaken by the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University and the Second Clinical Medical College of Xuzhou Medical University, with the participation of the Hearing Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine. Planned by Director Liu Wen and Teacher Jiang Wen, the activity aims to strengthen the publicity and education of hearing disability prevention, raise the whole society’s awareness of hearing health, and train the professional skills of students majoring in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at the Second Clinical Medical College.
Centering on three key publicity points specified in the official document, the activity disseminates the achievements of hearing disability prevention and rehabilitation during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, interprets relevant support policies, and lays a solid foundation for the 15th Five-Year Plan work. It popularizes scientific hearing health knowledge across the whole life cycle, guiding the public to form healthy ear-using habits and stay away from deafness risks such as noise and improper medication. It also spreads hearing and language rehabilitation knowledge, focusing on early intervention for hearing-impaired children, hearing health care for the elderly, and advocating a barrier-free information communication environment for the hearing-impaired.
A diverse range of activities are organized from February to April 2026, with the core in March. A free clinic is held at the Affiliated Hospital on March 3 by professional otolaryngologists and medical interns. From February to April, students compile and publish 1-2 popular science articles weekly on official WeChat official account. In March, offline publicity activities are carried out in communities, schools of all levels, including hearing consultation and free checks. On campus, publicity brochures are distributed, free hearing test coupons are issued, and consulting services are provided at the Youth Square and laboratories from March 1 to 3.
The activity is well prepared with four themed banners, a wealth of publicity materials and free test coupons, and an official link for downloading publicity posters is provided, ensuring the in-depth and extensive spread of hearing health knowledge through multi-scenario and all-round publicity and service.
