Within the context of World Hearing Day, an awareness event called “Hearing Matters: Let’s Protect Our Ears” will be carried out with the aim of promoting hearing health in children and adults alike.
During the event, health brochures will be distributed in the waiting rooms of Hospital Bernardino Rivadavia, offering recommendations on how to prevent hearing problems, as well as warning signs that indicate the need for medical attention.
The aim of this activity is to emphasize the significance of hearing as a basic component of development.

Impactful Story:

One of the most important cases was that of two sisters with Waardenburg syndrome whose parents knew the implications of this pathology on their development since their hearing was going to be compromised, so bilateral cochlear implants were placed at an early age allowing normal language development and considerably improving their quality of life
