An event aligned with this year’s theme, “From Communities to Classrooms,” was organized by the Audiology team at Al Nahdha Hospital, Directorate General of Khoula Hospital, Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Asma Bint Abi Baker Primary/Secondary School. The event was attended by 120 students, teachers, and school nurses.
Key topics on ear protection and hearing care were presented and discussed, including common hearing problems such as noise-induced hearing loss, ear infections, and the impact of unsafe listening practices. Preventive measures were emphasized, including safe listening habits, early detection through screening, and the importance of timely medical consultation. Available solutions, such as medical treatment, hearing aids, and rehabilitation services, were also explained to raise awareness and promote better hearing health practices among participants.
