Title: Dia Mundial da Audição
Al title (for format and translation – not permanent:
World Hearing Day
Description:
March 3rd is World Hearing Day. This date is an opportunity for all of us to make a difference. In 2026, the WHO – World Health Organization – highlights the theme “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children”. As stakeholders, partners and advocates, we must act collectively now so that no child is left behind due to hearing problems
We, the speech therapists at Phonos Audiology, are engaged in this World Campaign, aiming to reach 1000 children in Caxias do Sul, RS, Brazil.
If there is interest, we will conduct an educational activity, providing guidance on the importance of hearing care, through images, sounds, and figures, which can be done in the classroom or in a private space, in a playful and interactive way.
After the activity, we will open the office to perform audiometric screening exams to detect hearing loss, as well as providing guidance to the families of children identified by the institution as needing it.
