Project title: WORLD HEARING DAY BURUNDI – 2023 ; EAR AND HEARING CARE FOR ALL! LET’S MAKE IT A REALITY

Outline of the event:
To make this year’s event successful, we have planned 4 activities: KALE-B Center is organizing this event with the purpose of:
– Training in primary ear and hearing care for health workers and medical doctors,
– Awareness raising, free screening and distribution of hearing aids accessories,
– A day of advocacy: on this occasion,The WHO office in Burundi will take part in presenting a new training manual entitled “Primary Ear and hearing care training manual for health workers and medical doctors”.
– Advocate for the integration of ear and hearing care into primary care services.
– Raise awareness of the importance of ear and hearing care and encourage communities to use these services.
Expected results
– Engagement of decision-makers in government and civil society groups on WHO recommendations.
– 25 medical doctors and 25 health workers are trained on primary ear and hearing care.
– 400 patients received free consultations
