The hearX Foundation will be hosting an event in Atteridgeville, Gauteng South Africa on Friday 1 March 2024. As part of the WHD celebrations we will launch a new hub for screening of hearing using mHealth supported digital devices as developed by the HearX Group. The day will include screening and awareness sessions in the community at large. The invitations are extended to local civil society, health care facilities (and referral partners) and community clubs. As part of the ongoing programme launched, the focus of screening and awareness will be Early Childhood Development Centres, Primary School children and the older persons (often gathering in organized clubs. Other activities on the day will be hosted by the Cape Town based teams of hearX Foundation in areas of Khayelitsha, Mbekweni, Paarl and Wellington focussing on screening and awareness sessions.
