Event Description:
Better Ears Better Years seeks to create awareness among young adults (18-24 years), local community and the general public about the need to take care of the health of their ears, particularly when consuming digital entertainment content. It will seek to educate the target on the safe use of entertainment gadgets such as earphones, headphones, ear buds, Bluetooth, and speakers. An overwhelming majority of young adults are now accustomed to use of the said gadgets, either for work or entertainment, which could have a negative impact on their hearing in years to come if they don’t take basic precautions. The activity will involve several actions namely: an awareness walk, in-person demonstration session, online seminar and a free ear care clinic.
