Outline of the event:
1. Public Awareness Program 2. Free Hearing Camp
->An unique inaugral function revealing the theme of World Hearing Day, 2024 with a public awareness program including Flashmob, skit, poster display and awareness talk in the hospital premises.
-> A walkathon in the city with public awareness posters, flashmob and streetplay concerning the theme of World Hearing Day, 2024.
-> A free hearing screening camp for the employees of Yenepoya Medical College Hospital (YMCH) specifically targeting the the noise exposed employees of the Hospital such as Transport department, HR department, Maintenance department etc.
-> Free hearing camp in collaboration with Department of Otorhinolaryngology YMCH, focussing on the children less than 6 years of age with hearing loss or using hearing aids and not benefitting from the same, to further investigate on possible candidates for Cochlear Implantation.
