Outline of the event:
Ministry of Health Botswana has planned ear and hearing care community mobilization activities which will include hearing screening and providing ear care services for the communites in the Ngami Health District. A team of Ear and Hearing care and Health Promotion professionals has been mobilized to do outreach in the district from the 26th February 2024 until the 10th March 2024. A walk has been planned for the 3rd March 2024 in Maun (Ngami DHMT) to raise awareness on prevention of deafness and hearing loss as a curtain raiser for the commemoration. A media plan has also been drawn to raise awareness in different media platforms regarding Ear and Hearing Care. The Commemoration for World Hearing Day will be held on the 8th March 2024 in Maun(Ngami DHMT where Ministry of Health officials will grace the occasion
