The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of hearing health while driving, focusing on deaf truck drivers. The Brazilian movement “Deaf Truck Drivers” fights for deaf individuals to obtain a professional driver’s license, while also promoting auditory rehabilitation and awareness about the use of hearing aids, which is mandatory by law. The event will address topics related to hearing health for truck drivers, including demonstrations on the correct use of hearing aids and testimonials from deaf truck drivers who have benefited from this practice. The goal is to educate the public about the importance of hearing health and to promote inclusion and support for deaf individuals working as professional drivers.
