Outline of the event:
The aim of this event is to gain a better understanding of the hearing health of music students and to identify potential risk factors for hearing loss, in order to raise awareness of the importance and correct use of hearing protection during rehearsals and concerts.
A hearing health screening will be carried out among music students at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montreal, Canada. Materials from the World Hearing Day 2024 campaign, such as “Changing mindsets about ear care”, “How to be a hearing loss friendly” and “hearing loss prevention in musicians”, will be distributed.
