The Department of Speech and Hearing, along with the Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) at SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, SDM University, has proposed a month-long ear and hearing screening program for the security and maintenance personnel across all constituent colleges of SDM University. The program will commence on March 3rd and conclude on March 31st, featuring an orientation and educational session focused on hearing health care, ear protection devices, occupational and noise-induced hearing issues, and preventive measures, as well as guidance on seeking appropriate care for existing hearing disorders. This initiative aims to empower participants to prioritize and maintain optimal hearing health for themselves and their families.
