Outline of the event:
ASHICO is the association of Hard-of-Hearing people of Cochabamba in Bolivia. In this occasion, ASHICO organizes activities with the support and participation of social organizations, companies, schools, the disability department of the mayor’s office and the government. The activities consist of a noise-free march and an awareness fair and hearing screening by professionals in speech therapy and otorhinolaryngologists. Invitations were made to different authorities, they were invited to promote these actions of importance for hearing health. What is planned is that through these actions, departmental and national policies will be generated that take care of the population’s hearing. At the fair, the hearing examination will be free, as well as the audiometries that will be carried out in specialized centers outside the fair. Hearing care and various topics such as hearing aids and cochlear implants will be discussed too.
