Outline of the event:
Anwesha Kolkata will celebrate “World Hearing Day” on March 3, 2024 to raise awareness on “Ear and Hearing Care” through the following activities:
• Press Meet with ENT Specialist, Representative from the Health Department
• A Roadshow through decorated vehicles (tableaus) and a skit in collaboration with the Kolkata Police, deaf young adults, CSOs and volunteers. A public awareness programme at the end of the day.
• Two hearing screening camps for underprivileged children and young babies
• Awareness session on safe listening practices for school going students
• Submission of a memorandum on implementation for newborn hearing screening at the health dept, Government of West Bengal
• Awareness video based on current theme of WHD 2024 and share across the media
• Use and promote Bengali awareness materials on ear and hearing care through social media.
