Outline of the event:
Planned medical outreach is directed at creating awareness and advocacy for improved governmental involvement in hearing and ear care. It will include the following;
1. A curtesy visit to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Nigeria
2. comprehensive health talk in line with the theme for the year and educating the general public on the avoidance and care of common preventable causes of hearing loss to be aired on local radio stations and at the venue of the medical outreach.
3. Highlight of this year’s event will be an Audiological Screening exercise and basic medical check-up for employees of the office of the State Governor, the state ministry of health and related offices located at the Oyo state government secretariat.
