Outline of the event:
Goal: Improve the knowledge, awareness, and foster effective prevention strategies of Occupational Noise Induced Hearing Loss (ONIHL) amongst policy makers and other stakeholders. Objective: Organize a 1-day workshop in March for all stakeholders affected and involved with prevention of Occupational NIHL. Outcome: Improvement on standards of prevention strategies, promote best practice and increased overall awareness on prevention of hearing loss for all industry stakeholders. Discuss the Health and financial impact of ONIHL
Review the current practices in prevention of ONIHL
Discuss the noise risk management
Evaluate noise assessments and noise control issues.
Evaluate the real world efficacy of hearing conservation programs
Discuss hearing surveillance challenges.
