Outline of the event:
Menifee County High School JAG students are raising awareness for hearing loss in their community as part of the L.O.V.E. Project (Lifting Our Voices for Equity). One of the students was diagnosed as a teen with hearing loss and has been an advocate for others in helping minimize the stigma around hearing loss. The goal of this community event is E.A.R! The event is designed to ENCOURAGE students in the school system as well as adults with hearing loss, bring AWARENESS to the issue of hearing loss and how we can help be better communicators to those who have hearing loss, and to provide RESOURCES for those who may not realize all of the support that is available on the local and national level for hearing technology and education.
