Outline of the event:
The Bicol Medical Center Newborn Hearing Screening Reference Center ROV will be celebrating the annual global event for raising awareness regarding hearing loss and promoting ear and hearing care. As the world celebrates the World Hearing Day on March 3, 2024, the team will be facilitating a fun run activity / which will be participated by three hundred (300) nursing students from five (5) different schools in the Bicol Region, one hundred fifty (150) health care professionals in the region. The team believes that imparting knowledge on ear and hearing health to these participants will enhance their pedagogical skills that are found / useful in the conduction of health education to the people in the community. The team invited twenty (20) hearing impaired individuals for a special presentation during the program. Apart from this activity, free ear examination and consultation with the BMC – ENT Doctors will be initiated.
