Outline of the event:
To commemorate World Hearing Day, 03/03/2024, the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at Holy Cross College (Autonomous), located in Tiruchirappalli District, Tamil Nadu, India, is arranging a marathon scheduled on March 2nd, 2024. Additionally, we have organized a free camp at the college conducted by the students of the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from March 4th to March 9th, 2024. The camp focuses on providing a detailed audiological evaluation for geriatrics and elderly adults and screening for college students. We plan on adding a free hearing aid trial to patients with hearing loss. Furthermore, an awareness exhibition is slated to take part on March 9th to educate the public on hearing loss and breaking the myths regarding unaddressed hearing loss. This exhibition aims to indulge the public in awareness by incorporating skits, mimes, flashmobs, and human ear shape formations as part of the event.
