The campaign was started on the 1st of March where mentions of world hearing day were broadcasted on the second largest radio station in South Africa – Metro FM. On World Hearing Day (3rd of March 2023) an in studio interview with the DJ, the CEO of WSA: Trudy Walker and a local Audiologist, Vincent Zwane was broadcasted reaching 3 705 000 listeners. The 5 minute interview covered the importance of knowing your hearing status, directing the public to do a free hearing screening and where to go to if a loss are suspected.

Social media influencers were selected to create a call to action for the audience to get tested.

Referring to Google analytics that track our official sites, we had an increase of almost 75% traffic over the March 2023 period that must be attribute to the radio ad campaign as no other variables differ from previous months.
