Overexposure to loud noise can lead to hearing loss, especially in those who wear earphones all day and unconsciously listen to dangerous decibels. Responding to WHO-ITU standards, the Taiwan Audiologist Association designed an educational and promotional post ”Start to care ears by choosing SafeListening headphones” on social media, introducing the concept of sound allowance and the “3dB half-time rule”. Besides, we provided the public with a purchase guide where several functions of SafeListening were ranked. Specifically, devices equipped with active noise reduction, circumaural type, and equalizer were followed by WHO-ITU standards.
