We organized a gathering for families of children diagnosed with hearing loss to discuss the diagnosis process, challenges, and supportive factors in this auditory journey. Thirty families participated, each sharing their story and experiences, which were listened to with great respect. Afterwards, the clinical team from the hearing and language program inquired about ways to enhance support and comfort for these families.
At the end of the event, an invitation was extended to sponsor new families facing an initial diagnosis of hearing loss. It was an emotional and educational opportunity for everyone involved.
