Title: UdeM Français, changing mentalities! Hearing information accessible to all in French to celebrate World Hearing Day 2024

The School of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Montreal (UdeM) organized a local event. Hearing screening and awareness activities were conducted in schools and at the UdeM and McGill music faculty by second year students of the professional master’s degree in audiology. Overall, approximately 300 people participated in the event. In addition, audiology students edited Outreach Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 4 World Hearing Day 2024. The Centre de Recherche de l’Institute de gériatrie de Montréal (CRIUGM), along with local and national organizations, was also disseminated World Hearing Day campaign social media materials to alert governments, organizations, professionals, and the public. In addition, approximately 200 people participated in the webinar entitled “Health professionals, join us to change the perception of hearing problems and improve access to hearing care for seniors living in Quebec”.
