Event commenced with meetings, planning, approvals by UNIMED, invitation of Secondary schools, awareness match and sensitization. March 3rd, 2024 being a Sunday, there were activities in churches and regions around. One of which being health talks in Presentation National High school, Benin City. Celebrated in UNIMED was on 5th of March, 2024 with lectures/ health talks on 2024 theme, ear and hearing /ear hygiene by Dr Akpalaba I.O. and Prof. Owolawi, heralded by inter-secondary School debate and quiz on ear and hearing. Winners and participants were presented with Awards and certificates followed by free ear / hearing screening, ear treatments and Picture sessions. Extended programme was from 3rd to 31st March 2024 in Collaboration with KAFTAN TELEVISION, with a media interview on ear and hearing during the daybreakAfrica programme (http://youtu.be/Dfx8Ih7GQtI) which was shared on social media. Distribution of free Generic ear plugs to grinders in Ondo markets concluded the event
