Participants of all ages were invited to learn about hearing care in a fun and dynamic manner through interactive booths that included games, workshops, and exhibitions. These activities conveyed important messages about hearing health, including the risks of prolonged noise exposure, essential ear care practices, and relevant hearing health statistics. The event emphasized the significance of hearing health and the power of individual action in making ear and hearing care accessible to all.
Primary site: WPR – China / Macao
Impactful Story:
A mother of a hearing-impaired child shared the critical importance of early identification through newborn and preschool hearing screenings due to the experience of her child and encouraged other families to remain vigilant about hearing health, noting that a pass in newborn hearing screening does not guarantee the absence of hearing issues later in life. Also, emphasized that hearing aids alone are not sufficient for children in the classroom—support tools like FM systems and the patience of teachers are equally vital for their learning and development.
