Description:

The World Hearing Day event in Cameroon was celebrated under the leadership of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Health. The event featured a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for 22 Ear and Hearing Care Clinical Officers from 12 health facilities across the Northwest, Center, and Littoral Regions. This initiative is part of the “Strengthening Ear and Hearing Care Capacities in Cameroon” project, implemented by the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, with funding from BMZ and CBM.

Held at the Baptist Resource Center, Mvan – Yaoundé, the event aimed to raise awareness on hearing loss prevention, promote ear and hearing care, and officially launch the ToT workshop. Attendees included senior government officials, CBM representatives, CBCHS leadership, civil society representatives, and the media, highlighting a strong commitment to advancing ear and hearing healthcare in Cameroon.
