Public awareness and screening plan

Description:

March marks Ear Care Month, a time to emphasize the importance of hearing health. Our initiative focuses on raising awareness and providing free hearing screenings.
Activities:
Educational Campaign: Distribute brochures and host webinars on hearing protection, early detection of hearing loss, and the impact of noise pollution.
Community Screenings: Partner with local clinics to offer free hearing tests in community centers, schools, and workplaces.

Primary site: WPR – China

Impactful Story:

Ms. Li, 62, noticed a few years ago that she needed to increase the TV volume to hear clearly and frequently asked family members to repeat themselves during conversations. Believing this was a normal part of aging, she took no action and gradually withdrew from social interactions. During a World Hearing Day awareness campaign, she learned that while hearing loss is irreversible, it can be effectively managed to restore normal life. After being fitted with hearing aids, Aunt Li regained her cheerful personality and reconnected with those around her.
