Description:

Activities you conducted on World Hearing Day:
1. HearTimes Audiology Clinic organized free hearing screening camps at two of its branches.
2. In collaboration with Sonova Hearing India Pvt Ltd, we donated a pair of digital hearing aids.
3. Partnering with the Delhi branch of the Indian Speech-Language and Hearing Association, we educated the public in various locations with the help of student volunteers. During this event, we distributed pamphlets and engaged in conversations to raise awareness about the importance of hearing care.
4. Additionally, we created and uploaded an informative video on YouTube in English, demonstrating the work of an audiologist.

Impactful Story:

During the screening of 22 participants, two individuals showed hearing loss at high frequencies. When questioned further, they reported using headphones/earphones in noisy environments at high volumes.
While educating the public about hearing care, many initially assumed we were promoting a product for commercial purposes. However, after engaging in conversation, the majority of people understood the message and provided feedback, expressing that they would take better care of their hearing.
