Leeyo Multipurpose Society successfully organized World Hearing Day on March 3, 2025, to promote early hearing detection and intervention. The event began with a guest reception, welcome address, and felicitation of esteemed guests.

Guest Speakers & Discussions

Dr. Jego Ori (Asst. Professor, ENT, TRIHMS) spoke on medical advancements in hearing care.
Dr. Dampak Mindo (State Nodal Officer UID, Directorate of Health Service) highlighted government initiatives.

Hearing Horizons Initiative

The event introduced Hearing Horizons, addressing hearing care needs. It featured awareness workshops, free screenings, ear care kits distribution, and hearing aid demonstrations. Cultural activities like songs and storytelling helped engage the community, while trained youth volunteers (“Hearing Champions”) led school and community outreach.

Advocacy & Cultural Sessions

Roundtable discussions with policymakers highlighted hearing care gaps and proposed solutions.

Local and Classical Dance Performances by Leeyo Multipurpose Society Team.

Speech Competition on “The Importance of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention.”

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and refreshments. Gratitude to all speakers, participants, and volunteers for their support.
