On March 3, 2025, GuangDong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine organized an the Hearing Day event under the theme ” Healthy Listening, Unobstructed Communication.” The event featured nine ear specialists and highlighted the integration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapies with modern diagnostic technologies. Over 100 citizens participated in this event. The activities were structured into three segments: first, free consultations provided by clinical physicians; second, on-site instruction by audiologists on performing TCM massage health exercises; and third, an experiential session of TCM therapy, specifically Ear scraping. Participants unanimously praised the event for enhancing their awareness of hearing health protection and providing a firsthand experience of the depth and richness of TCM culture.

Impactful Story:

A 72-year-old man, Mr. Chen, who was just passing by the hospital, participated in ear health consultation accompanied by his children. Not only were his ear problems professionally answered, but he also successfully made an appointment for subsequent hearing aid debugging, experienced Ear scraping therapy and learned Ear health exercises. Mr. Chen said, “I was just passing by and didn’t expect to encounter such a meaningful free clinic activity!” The Hearing Day event was highly praised by the citizens and effectively improved everyone’s awareness of hearing health protection.
