The Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore, MAHE, India, commemorated World Hearing Day with a series of impactful activities aimed at raising awareness about hearing health.
As part of the initiative, free hearing screenings were conducted for adults and the elderly to promote early detection of hearing issues. To enhance public outreach, students actively engaged in creating informative reels and e-posters, which were shared across the department’s social media platforms to spread awareness about hearing care and prevention.
Additionally, faculty members delivered an expert talk to healthcare professionals, emphasizing the significance of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI). The session highlighted the importance of timely diagnosis and management of hearing loss, ensuring better communication outcomes and quality of life.
Through these initiatives, the department reaffirmed its commitment towards ear and hearing care for all.
