The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI) Audiology Department joined
the global community in celebrating World Hearing Day (WHD) 2025 with an impactful
outreach program focused on hearing health awareness, and free hearing screenings for the
host community and surrounding areas.
This initiative was in alignment with WHO’s theme for WHD, emphasizing the importance of
early identification, prevention, and intervention in hearing health. The event was designed to
promote hearing awareness, provide essential audiological services, and support individuals with
hearing impairment.
2. Objectives
-To educate the community on hearing health, hearing loss prevention, and treatment options.
– To provide free hearing screenings and checks for early detection of hearing loss.
– To offer hearing aid servicing and accessories, including tips and molds, for existing hearing aid
users
– To encourage public awareness and foster professional interest in audiology and hearing care.
