Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mangalore, India, inspired by the initiative of WHO, celebrated the World Hearing Day 2025. The theme of the WHD-2025 was ‘Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all!’. Various public education activities were conducted over a span of 7 days.
To create awareness about hearing loss and its preventive measures, the following public education activities were carried out over a span of a week. The list of activities and the details of the same are provided below:
1. Screening camp in collaboration with SDM Mangala Jyothi Integrated School, Mangalore.
2. Awareness video making, info graphic making and photography competitions.
3. An awareness campaign on hearing health and hearing conservation program for AJ Hospital maintenance staffs.
4. Awareness campaign followed by a flash mob.
