Organization: Stitching Operation Ear Drop

Title: Hear Today, Empower Tomorrow.
Alternate tite:

Hear today, empower tomorrow.

Description:

World Hearing Day in Kenya was marked on 3/3/2025 with various activities aimed at raising awareness about hearing health and preventing hearing loss. Screening programs were organized at Kenyatta National Hospital and Ministry of Health Headquarters to detect early signs of hearing impairments. Health professionals offered free hearing tests to the public, especially for children and elderly individuals who are at higher risk. In addition to screening, educational campaigns were carried out through webinars, radio programs, and printed advocacy materials to inform the public about the importance of hearing protection and regular check-ups. Topics such as noise-induced hearing loss, the benefits of hearing aids, and the significance of early intervention were highlighted. These activities are crucial in fostering a culture of proactive hearing care and reducing the stigma around hearing impairments in Kenya.
