World Hearing Day 2025 – Dhwani Aurica Report
Dhwani Aurica successfully celebrated World Hearing Day 2025 with a series of impactful activities to promote hearing health. A Cyclothon was organized to raise awareness about hearing loss prevention and the importance of regular check-ups. Public awareness campaigns included the distribution of informative pamphlets covering hearing care, types of hearing aids, and preventive measures.
Additionally, senior citizens’ homes and organizations actively participated, offering lectures and tips on hearing aid maintenance. Dhwani Aurica also contributed to the TELE Hearing Health Support Project in collaboration with a Philippines-based local support group, expanding access to hearing care.
To further strengthen awareness, attendees were encouraged to use the WHO hearing screening app for self-assessment and early detection. The event successfully spread awareness, emphasizing the significance of hearing health and community engagement in fostering a sound future for all.

**The Sound of Awareness – A Dhwani Aurica Initiative**
At a senior citizen home, retired teacher Mr. Mehta felt increasingly isolated, struggling to hear conversations. Unaware of his hidden hearing loss, he dismissed it as ageing. Dhwani Aurica conducted an awareness session on unidentified hearing loss, highlighting its impact on loneliness, cognitive decline, and dementia. Experts discussed symptoms like difficulty hearing in noisy places and frequent repetition requests. The session helped Mr. Mehta realize that modern hearing aids could restore sound and confidence. Inspired, he and many others took hearing tests, embracing a clearer, more connected future.
