Description:

ALSEPNEO hosted an international event around World Hearing Day, on March 5th, 2025. It consisted of an online webinar, with experts´contributions from differente countries in Latin America, and participants from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Paraguay, Panamá, Ecuador, Perú, Brasil, México, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica. The aim was to drive aattention on hearing care and to stress the importance of early detection, screening programs, and timely interventions. We reflected about the existing inequities trough our region.
Additonally, we continued promoting the need of accurate data about these topics by means of our ongoing surveillance on hearing care for high risk newborns.
