To celebrate WHD 2025, 120 doctors(over half were Chinese Medicine Practitioners) were invited to luncheon organized the Healthy Macau Association, the Macau Association of Medical Staff, and the Macau Association of Researchers, Practitioners and Promoters of Chinese Medicine Two CME seminars were arranged: “Big Data and AI in Latest Hearing Technology Developments” by Audiogist, Mr. Thomas Law, and “Chinese Medicine Strategies in Hearing Health” by Dr. Shi Chong Rong. The local TV station was also present, which helped further promote these important topics to the general public.

Impactful Story:
An Chinese Medicine practitioner who joined our WHD event, said she was suprirsed to learn how hearing aid technology is so very different a few years ago. When patients suffering from tinnitus visit her, she usually prescribes acupuncture. After the seminar she understands the importance of hearing test and would encourage her patients to check their hearing. Also, she mentions as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, CME on hearing health is not always accessible, and she agrees more should be done to encourage Chinese and Western Medicine professionals to complement each other when treating hearing loss patients.
