During the 26th National Ear Care Day, the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery of our hospital carried out a series of activities. On March 1st and 3rd, Professor Xue Jinmei, the director of the department, successively received interviews from “Online Consultation” of Shanxi Workers’ Daily and Yellow River TV Station. She pointed out the “elderly – and – children – polarized” situation of hearing impairment in our country and emphasized the importance of using ears scientifically.
On the morning of March 3rd, led by department leaders such as Xue Jinmei and Suo Limin, the medical team held a free clinic in the Outpatient Health Lecture Hall. They provided free otological examinations, otoscope examinations, and pure – tone audiometry services for more than 60 people.
Meanwhile, Director Suo Limin and Director Wang Ai were invited to Shanxi Health Voice Radio to popularize ear – care knowledge.
This series of activities demonstrated the professional commitment of the department and helped to enhance the public’s awareness of hearing health. In the future, relevant activities will continue to be carried out.
