Alternate tite:

World Hearing Day 2025 celebration

Description:

Macquarie University Hearing celebrated World Hearing Day on Monday, 3 March 2025, with a day full of engaging activities focused on the theme ‘Changing mindsets: empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all!’ The event featured two informative panel discussions, one on acquired age-related hearing loss and the other on hearing policy, with valuable insights from experienced advocates in the Deaf community. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in complimentary hearing screenings, meet researchers, and ask audiologists questions. Exhibitors showcased the latest in hearing care, technologies and acoustics, and attendees enjoyed networking during a complimentary lunch. Accessible services available included captions, hearing support systems, and wheelchair accessible seating. We thank over 230 individuals, those with hearing loss, hearing health practitioners and members of the public, who joined us for this important and informative day!
