Gibraltar’s Hearingloss Awareness Week coincided with World Hearing Day. The week kicked off with our famous Moorish Castle being illuminated in silver and gold hues. Throughout the week, daily informative content was distributed on social media platforms and traditional press media.
On World Hearing Day we held a walk-in clinic for any queries and questions. The event was supported by Dr Sandro Chiti-Batelli (ENT-Midtown Clinic) who participated and gave his expert advice when required.
On the 5th March Edgar Triay GA GHITA Chairperson appeared and was interviewed on Gibraltar Today (Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation’s both Radio and TV show) and the campaign also received coverage on GBC News too.
Our campaign during the week was supported by the Gibraltar Health Authority, Gibraltar Public Health and HM Government of Gibraltar amongst other with statement and reshares.
On the 31st March we conducted a Hearing and Ear Care lecture to Gibraltar University Year 1 Nursing Students.
