Title: Evaluation of the Effectiveness of the Hearing Conservation Program.
Alternate tite:

Evaluation of the effectiveness of the hearing conservation program.

Description:

On March 27, 2025, 3M Thailand held “3M Hearing Day Part 2.” The event provided valuable insights into “How to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Hearing Conservation Programs,” featuring a special session by Dr. Pajaree Kuntalabutr from the Department of Occupational Health and Safety, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University.

In the afternoon session, Mr. Santi Poolsawad, Senior Application Engineer at 3M Thailand, discussed understanding NRR, SNR, and PAR to help participants better select the right hearing protection devices for their employees.

During the workshop session, participants had hands-on experience using the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System, allowing them to better understand personal attenuation ratings in real-world settings and PAR best practices.

Another activity included support from a customer in glass packaging manufacturing, who shared their experiences with hearing conservation programs in their factory. This session provided a great opportunity to discuss ways to build awareness and develop programs to prevent hearing loss in industrial settings.

Primary site: SEAR- Thailand

Impactful Story:

The participants can evaluate their hearing conservation programs, select the right hearing protection devices for employees, and apply hearing fit testing programs to ensure the effectiveness of the hearing protectors provided to users.
