To celebrate World Hearing Day 2025, Centro Audiológico AURIS in Honduras organized a series of impactful activities under the theme “Changing mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all!” A live event was held at a public elementary school in the capital, engaging over 200 students. The CEO opened the event, followed by interactive sessions from staff, including an audiologist’s talk on ear care and a storytelling session by a speech therapist. A school-wide drawing contest saw over 150 participants, with winners receiving school supply bonuses of $200, $100, and $50. AURIS also conducted free hearing screenings for all first graders through a dedicated medical brigade. Two students identified with hearing issues will receive donated hearing aids, ensuring they have access to the support they need. The event highlighted the importance of early intervention and hearing health awareness among children.
