Title: Empower to make better ear and hearing care for all in 2025
Alternate tite:
Empower to make better ear and hearing care for all in 2025
Description:
As a team contributing to the World Hearing Day 2025 event at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, we aim to empower communities through increased awareness and knowledge about ear and hearing care. Our focus is on highlighting the importance of hearing health and promoting practical strategies to prevent hearing loss. Here’s how I plan to contribute to the event:
• Educational Workshops: Organize community-based workshops to educate people about hearing health, the risks of noise-induced hearing loss from daily lifestyle habits, and effective hearing protection strategies. These workshops will also provide targeted information for individuals working in noisy environments, helping them understand and manage their hearing risks more effectively.
• Social Media Campaigns: Launch impactful social media campaigns to reach a wider audience. We will share engaging content and educational resources related to hearing. Hashtags such as #WorldHearingDay2025 will help amplify our message and foster community involvement.
Primary site: SEAR- Thailand
Impactful Story:
There were questions asked about how to reduce the risk of hearing loss from daily activities, such as how to listen to music safely and the impact of wearing headphones for extended periods while gaming. Participants gained knowledge about protecting their hearing from loud sounds, recognizing signs of ear and hearing problems, and how to take preventive measures.
