Title: World Hearing Day 2025 Unifesp/on Brazil
Alternate tite:

World Hearing Day 2025 Unifesp on Brazil

Description:

World Hearing Day 2025 was celebrated on March 3rd, coinciding with Brazil’s Carnival, the country’s most iconic and vibrant festivity. During this time, the entire nation pauses to embrace the joy and cultural richness of Carnival — and as the popular saying goes, “the year only truly begins after Carnival.”

Despite the festive atmosphere, our team seized the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of hearing health. Information on hearing care and the role of each individual in promoting awareness was widely disseminated. This outreach was conducted through social media platforms, achieving over 300,000 views, as well as through printed materials (flyers and brochures) distributed in both public and private hearing healthcare services, before and shortly after Carnival.

The initiative involved active participation from undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff from the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp).
We are confident that this collective effort contributed to increasing public awareness about the risks of hearing loss and the importance of preventive care.
