Organization: Derby EarLAB

Title: HELA (healthy ears, limited annoyance) initiative
Alternate tite:

Hela (Healthy Ears, Limited Annoyance) initiative

Description:

In association with the UK’s Night Time Industry Association (NTIA), we launched the HELA Initiative as part of the NTIA’s Listen for Life Campaign. HELA certification will form the educational backbone of this campaign. HELA was also launched worldwide to promote better practice for safe listening at music events, as well as reducing annoyance to others. The event took place in Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in Soho, London. The event was attended by members of the UK Parliament, alongside audiologists, musicians, sound engineers and music venue owners and promoters. The HELA website, https://helainitiative.com/, also went live the same day. The training is open to all and has already been completed by participants from Peru to Australia in its first few days.

Primary site: EUR – United Kingdom GB / Anguilla
