Title: Hearing Week in Andalucia
Alternate tite:

Hearing week in Andalucia

Description:

From 25 February to 3 March 2025, Federación AICE celebrated Hearing Week, a campaign to promote the importance of hearing health and accessibility. This initiative started on International Cochlear Implant Day (25 February) and came to an end on World Hearing Day (3 March).

AICEAN has promoted the illumination in red of emblematic monuments throughout Andalusia, such as the Town Hall of Granada, Malaga or Plaza España in Seville.

Informative posters have been distributed in several cities in Andalucia, such as Granada and Maracena, as part of the regional effort to raise awareness about hearing health. In an innovative gesture, the Sevilla Football Club joined the campaign by playing an awareness- raising video during one of their matches, helping to reach a wider and more diverse audience.

In addition, the city of Malaga supported the initiative by displaying information about Hearing Week on its MUPIs (urban advertising panels), further reinforcing the visibility of the campaign in public spaces. These actions demonstrate the growing involvement of local institutions and organizations in promoting accessibility and hearing care across the region.

We have also collaborated with transport companies, in this case with the urban buses of the city of Seville, which have had some of their buses covered with vinyl on the outside.

Information stands have also been set up to raise awareness about hearing health at key locations, such as the HUVM Polyclinic (Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena) and the Cádiz CF stadium. These stands provided visitors and attendees with informative materials, professional guidance, and the opportunity to learn more about hearing loss, cochlear implants, and the importance of early diagnosis.
